Hello once again, and welcome back to the Metro Services Inc. blog! When it comes to providing the Chattanooga area with the best in commercial and industrial flame safeguard controls, we have made it our mission to carry multiple products to ensure our customers are never without the important safety equipment they need. We understand that even the smallest amount of downtime in a commercial or industrial setting can go a long way in impacting the bottom line of a factory or a facility and we want to help our clients run as efficiently and as safely as possible. In today’s post, we are going to go over some of the flame monitoring systems and components we offer to our clients and the features that come along with these products.

Siemens Flame Safeguard LME7

The Siemens Flame Safeguard LME7 is a safeguard that sets a new standard for cost-effective, flexible burner supervision. Programming and commissioning are incorporated into a reliable, field-proven control that provides easy installation and reliability. This flame safeguard system offers flexibility not normally found in competitive burner control units and, even better, comes at a very attractive price. Some of the features offered by the Siemens LME7 include:

  • UV scanner and flame rod sensor inputs
  • Programmable purge times, safety times, and pilot operation
  • Integral LED display for easy diagnostics
  • Globally approved – UL, FM, CSA, and CE

Siemens Burner Controls LME7

The Siemens LME7 Burner Control system is a microprocessor-based unit with matching system components for the supervision and control of forced draft burners of medium to high capacity. The LME7 is used for the startup and supervision of modulating or multistage forced draft burners and atmospheric gas burners in intermittent operation. The fuel-air ratio can be set with either an air damper actuator, acting on pneumatic or mechanical ratio control, or via pulse width modulated fans and pneumatic ratio control. Additional features offered by Siemens LME7 Burner Controls include:

  • Under-voltage detection
  • Electrical remote reset facility
  • Accurate control times thanks to digital signal handling
  • Multicolor indication of fault status and operating state messages
  • Air pressure supervision with function check of air pressure switch during start and operation
  • Controlled intermittent operation after max. 24 hours of continuous operation (can be parameterized via parameter 239) (depending on type of program module PME7)
  • Unit parameter adjustable either via display or PC software ACS410
  • Connection for program module PME

Honeywell RM7800 Flame Monitoring System

The Honeywell RM7800 Flame Monitoring System is a microprocessor based integrated single-burner control that replaces more than 400 Honeywell and competitive types. This unit provides enhanced safety as well as comprehensive diagnostics and communication and networking capabilities. This burner is perfect for applications requiring an integrated burner control for automatically fired gas, oil, coal, or combination fuel single-burner.

Sens-A-Flame Electronic Flame Monitor

The Sens-A-Flame is an electronic flame monitoring device that offers a continuous surveillance of flames, detects when the flame goes out, and triggers a warning shutting down the entire combustion system. This flame monitor is designed for use with single or multiple burner installations and includes many built-in features including solid state components for durability and plug-in modules for easy maintenance. One such module that can be used with the Sens-A-Flame Electronic Flame Monitor are Pyronics Ultraviolet Scanners. These scanners are compact, reliable sensing units that are notable for being easy to install and highly weather-resistant due to their weather-resistant cast aluminum enclosure.
